Install AppHalt
A quick first setup
- Open the DMG file When the download finishes, open the AppHalt DMG from your Downloads folder or browser toolbar.
- Drag AppHalt to Applications Move the app into Applications so macOS can launch it like your other Mac apps.
- Launch AppHalt from the menu bar Open AppHalt and look for it in the menu bar, where it stays out of your way.
- Pause your first heavy app Choose an app you do not need active right now. Paused apps stop working in the background until resumed.
